Wine Country Adventures
Vacation Races is heading to wine country!
A Wine Country Adventure is an all-inclusive 3-day trip that includes gorgeous and diverse trail runs each morning and as many different wine adventures as we can pack into the afternoon and evenings.
Think big wineries, boutique wineries, small-batch artists, biodynamic tasting rooms, organic wines, picnic lunches among the vines, multi-course meals with wine pairings and more!
Let me know about important updates (new events, registration openings, price jumps, etc.).
What's included in a Wine Country trip?
Your hotel room, all breakfasts and lunches, two dinners, wine tasting and touring fees, trail permits, cool swag, trail guide, and transportation to all the wine adventures and trails.
What’s not included?
The main thing not included here is your transportation to and from the location, as well as dinner one night. Apart from that, the only thing you would be expected to cover is any souvenirs, wine club fees that you choose to join, or additional food or drink.
Why travel with Vacation Races Wine Country Adventures?
• Locations- Not only have we chosen the best areas for wine in the country, but we’re scouting unique and exceptional vintners in each region. Expect to experience the popular, trendy, and up-and-coming as well as exclusive, little-known hidden gems.
• Peace of mind- We’ve taken care of all the details so you don’t have to stress about a thing. If you’ve ever had to negotiate a designated driver or figure that 20% tip after drinking a flight of wine, you’ll be glad to let us arrange everything.
• Small Groups, New Friends- We’re keeping the group to 50 people. You’re sure to find new friends after running, eating, and drinking together.
How difficult are the runs and hikes? How good of shape do I need to be in?
Each day we’ll be running/hiking between 4-7 miles, for a total of about 15-16 miles in 3 days. All trails will be dirt, most will be single-track. Please be prepared to maintain at least a 20 minute/mile pace on these trail runs.
Do I have to run every day?
This is your vacation- you should do what you want! If you want to take a break for a day or two, then by all means do it. Our goal is to make sure you have the best possible experience on the trails, whatever that means for you.
Are there aid stations?
There are no aid stations in these trail runs. Most people will be either using a hydration backpack or carrying a water bottle in hand, along with a few gels or other snacks if needed. You are required to bring your own hydration system. We are partnered with Nathan Sports, which provide awesome hydration options: Shop Nathan Sports
Are there any discounts available for a Wine Country Adventure?
We do not offer any discounts on our Wine Country Adventures at this time.
Are there options for a partner that doesn’t want to run?
If you want to bring a partner to the event that doesn’t want to participate in the runs, that’s totally fine. Unfortunately, there are no discounts for non-runners.
What about Vegan and Vegetarian food options?
There will be vegetarian options for our runners at all meals. Most meals will also have vegan options.
Are there any age restrictions?
Participants must be at least 21 years old, but there is no other age requirement. We’ll be glad to have you join us whether you’re 21 or 121!
What if I or my partner doesn't drink?
You do not need to participate in the wine tasting, however, we do not offer any kind of discounts for participants that won’t be drinking.
