I did not retire from the military but served six years on active duty and have a DD214. Do I qualify for the military discount? Thank you.

    • Kaelee Clifford says:

Hi Jen – Yes, you qualify for the military discount. Just be sure to take a picture of your DD214 to show when picking up your bib.

  • Maggie says:

I am the spouse of a veteran who served active duty for 5 years. He is not a retiree. Do I qualify for the spouse discount?

    • Kaelee Clifford says:

Hi Maggie – You would qualify if you have a current military ID. It sounds like you most like do not qualify, but your spouse would if he has a DD214.

  • Christine Ruiz says:

You don’t list retiree children as eligible. Was that an oversight? My daughter is 11.

  • Clare says:

I am not a retiree or active duty. I served in the Army National Guard for 9 years which includes 1 year of active duty. I have a DD214, do I qualify?

    • Kaelee Clifford says:

Hi Clare – Yep! Just bring a copy of you DD214 (you can take a picture of it on your phone) to the expo when you pick up your bib.

  • Allen says:

I was honerably discharged as 2lt in National Guard but did not serve on active duty beyond basic and advanced infantry training and summer camps. My unit was not called up. Am assuming I do not qualify.

Hi Nathan – We only offer a military discount – no law enforcement discounts. Only one discount can be used per registration.

  • Elisha Lin says:

Hi, I may have mistakenly selected the military discount option and I realize that I may not actually qualify. This is my first half-marathon (Joshua Tree) and I want to correct this if possible! I had no intention of taking advantage of the system or disrespecting those who served. I sent an email but I have not received a reply. What should I do? Thank you!

I just realized that you offer a military discount for veterans. I don’t remember seeing this option when I registered for the Yosemite half marathon. Is there any way to receive the discount after registration completing the registration?
