Global Adventures Vaccine Policy
As of June 1, 2021 a complete COVID-19 vaccine is required for all Global Adventures trips, regardless of the COVID requirements of the host country.
All participants will need to show a completed vaccine card or certificate at event check-in.
Great news! All our future GA trips will be (statistically) COVID-19 free! Until further notice, we are requiring you and all of your fellow travellers to have a complete COVID-19 vaccination, regardless of the COVID requirements of the host country. Due to how much time is spent together on buses and at meal times, we want to be sure everyone can feel safe knowing the chance of COVID transmission among our group will be extremely unlikely, as long as all are vaccinated.
Currently, the United States is requiring a negative COVID test to re-enter the country. The last thing we want is for a participant (or worse the whole group!) to be quarantined in the host country, unable to return to the US. What a way to ruin a trip!
Additionally, the Global Adventures trips through spring 2022 are to countries that are continuing to struggle to contain the virus. The COVID policies to travel to/from these locations are continuing to evolve, and will almost certainly change before these trips happen. As we plan for our future itineraries, while we cannot guarantee entry into these countries in the future (even with a vaccine), the chances of the trip being cancelled dramatically go up without everyone being fully vaccinated.
The safety of our staff, host country partners, and participants matters a great deal to us. The vaccine has proven to be extremely effective in protecting the vaccinated person from severe illness and death. Nothing else that we have seen has proven to be as effective.
We recognize some people may be unable to receive the vaccine for medical reasons. Medical exemptions will be considered, but for the time being, any international travel by an unvaccinated person (regardless of the reason) will be strongly discouraged.
