The 2018 Zion Half is Sold Out!

We’re excited to announce that the 2018 Zion Half Marathon has sold out for the 5th year in a row!

A few people have asked if there will be a waiting list in case spots open up. We don’t offer waitlists, you can read more about why here.

If you were hoping to run at Zion this year, you do still have a couple options.

Option 1: If you’re willing to raise some money for the National Park Foundation, there are a few Charity Bibs remaining.

Option 2: Find someone who can’t make it and arrange for them to transfer their bib to you. (bib transfer policy).

Option 3: There’s still some room to register for the Trail Half Marathon as part of the Zion Ultras (April 20-21, 2018). If you’ve toyed with the idea of getting into trail running, this would be a great race to start with and it’s only 1 week before the regular Zion Half Marathon. The weather should be beautiful this time of year (not too hot or cold) and the scenery will be stunning. Learn more about the Zion Ultras.

Option 4: The Grand Circle Trailfest (Oct. 4-6, 2018) will include a 12 mile Zion course on day #2. We’ll run first thing in the morning and then you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the park before coming back to Trailfest HQ for food, music, speakers, a film fest, and more. Sign up for the whole 3-day event or pick and choose. Learn more about Grand Circle Trailfest.

We hope you’ll consider joining us again in 2019! We will be back to our original Zion course plus Zion Centennial!!!

Ryan claims to be a "product in infinite beta". He loves hamburgers and peanut butter (but not together) and he should run more. He also really enjoys writing bios in the 3rd person.

My husband and I are no longer able to travel to run the Zion Half Marathon. I have posted on Facebook to try to transfer our registrations. We had also purchased a campsite. Is there any way to get a refund on the campsite?

    • Kaelee Clifford says:

Hi Aimee – I can refund the campsite for you, but I don’t see it in your registration. Let me know your husband’s name and I can check his registration.

Hi Aimee – I don’t see a campsite on your registration – is it your husband’s? If so, please email and include his name and Kaelee will help you get the campsite refunded.

  • Graciela Chang says:

I understand the registration is full but can an exception for just 1 more person be made? I have to friends running this race and have our camping booked. I was trying to register On Feb. 5th when it had reopened but it closed out the following day and was literally a day late, just my luck! I read your options on top, but how would I be able to find someone who might not be able to make it to the race and transfer their bib? Can bib transfer be done in the same day of the race?
